The Italian based automaker ATS has officially pulled the wraps off the 2500 GT supercar ahead of its public debut which will take place at the Top Marques in Monte Carlo.
The newest Italian supercar isn’t wearing the Ferrari or Lamborghini badges over its body and it’s not even signed by Pagani. It has been created by a company called ATS and it is known as the 25000 GT. The model in question will be making its public debut at the 2015 Top Marques in Monte Carlo and if you see any similarities to current supercars, just try to ignore them.
“The whole style is classic and modern, the choice of the interiors is sporty and retro, the quality of leathers and fabrics is highly sought. But the real surprise is represented by the technical choices of this car, that wants to become the new benchmark for high-performance supercars”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The brand new ATS 2500 GT is coming in a two-seat body style and it has an athletic silhouette and an attractive overall design. The car has a carbon fiber monocoque chassis with an integrated roll cage and it is getting the aluminum underbody panels, front and rear independent suspension, carbon exterior panels and several other tweaks. Power to the model is being provided by a naturally aspirated V8 engine which is capable of producing a total of 640 HP (470 kW), connected to a manual or a sequential transmission, sending power to the rear wheels through a limited slip differential. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), it needs 2.9s and top speed stands at 340 km/h (211 mph).
