The Japanese based automaker Nissan has recently announced that the auction for the Bold Gold GT-R has ended a few days ago after it started on the 22nd of November.
The one-off special Nissan Bolt Gold GT-R, as it was named, has managed to find a new owner a couple of weeks after the auction has started on eBay. But exclusivity doesn’t come cheap as the man who placed the highest bid has found out because the sports car has been sold for 193,191 USD. Besides the one-off GT-R, various accessories were also auctioned for charity, like the three helmets, a cap and a pair of shoes, all of them signed by Usain Bolt.
The world’s fastest man and Nissan will use the funds raised in order to help the Jamaican children through the Bolt Foundation. The sports car in question, which was nicknamed the “Godzilla”, is one of the fastest on the market and it’s based on the 2014 model year GT-R, getting a gold paint and interior trim. The special Nissan Bolt Gold GT-R is also getting a gold plate embossed with Usain Bolt’s signature and his autograph. The sports car will be delivered in March, 2013, and it will be manufactured to the performance specifications conforming to regulations in the winning bidder’s country of residence, as the carmaker is saying.
