Audi’s Urban Concept loses its top image

Spied in Berlin only a month before its unveiling at the Frankfurt Motor Show and then officially presented by the Audi Group, the Urban Concept continues to surprise us all and a convertible version of the car will hit the next month German automotive event.

The Urban Concept can transport two people, with the driver positioned in front of the passenger and, according to the manufacturer, the car is fun to drive, sport and can even become an utility vehicle, thanks to a versatile cabin which was specially created by the German designers.

Audi’s Urban Concept is powered by a pair of electric motors and a battery pack, sitting on big 21-inch alloy rims.

The Audi Urban Concept won’t hit the production line yet, and we are saying ‘yet’ because the market segment on which the vehicle is focused will grow significantly in the next few years and major car manufacturers already started developing their own models, like VW’s XLR 1 Concept or Renault’s Twizy electric scooter.
