Audi has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, a special version of the A1 e-Tron, which has been developed in order to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics.
According to the German based automaker, the Audi A1 e-Tron which was manufactured in order to celebrate the 2012 London Olympics has been made as a one-off version and it was named the Audi A1 e-Tron Germany Olympic Team Edition. The model in question is wearing the Germany colors and it’s riding on a bespoke set of while multi-spoke alloy wheels, boasting touches of the national colors of the country.
The Audi A1 e-Tron Germany Olympic Team Edition is also coming with black bezel headlamps, the “2012” plastered on the side mirrors and on the roof and an interior trim which is adopting a similar patriotic design. Audi has sent 60 units of the A1 e-Tron to London where they are being used as a shuttle service, traveling between the German house and the MS Deutschland cruise ship.
As a quick reminder, the Audi A1 e-Tron is coming with an internal combustion power unit which is acting as a generator in order to charge the model’s batteries. The A1 e-Tron is producing 102 horsepower and it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 10 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 80 mph (120 km/h).
