The German based automaker Audi has been recently spotted while testing the facelifted version of the A1 on public roads, in its home country.
Audi is getting busier these days and after officially unveiling the upgraded A8 and S8 luxury cars, the company is turning its head towards its smallest production car, the A1. The Audi A1 is getting ready to receive some updates, which will make it look more like new models in the carmaker’s lineup, but before launching it, the company has to make sure that everything is in its right place and working like it should, so a prototype version of the car has been recently spotted by our spy photographers.
The model pictured below is the 2014 Audi A1, in its “classic” three-door body style, which is scheduled to go on sale sometimes next. The prototype in question is wearing a lot of camouflage on its body but we can still see the quad exhaust setup and the big alloy wheels, which makes us think that this is actually an S1. If it is, than the model will receive more than 200 HP and a Quattro permanent all-wheel drive setup. Additional details on the “new” Audi A1 / S1 are limited for the moment and will be announced close to its debut.
