Audi has recently announced that the A1 Quattro model will be launched in the United Kingdom too, in its limited edition version.
After the new Audi A1 Quattro has been officially unveiled in late 2011, the smallest model in the German car manufacturer’s lineup is getting ready to be launched in the United Kingdom. What is mostly interesting about this announcement is that the German model will hit the UK even if it won’t be made in right-hand drive. Audi will supply the UK with only 20 units of the A1 Quattro, out of the total of 333.
As a reminder, the Audi A1 Quattro is powered by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine which is generating a total output of 252 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft). The engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to an all-wheel drive system, allowing the small hatchback to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 245 km/h (152 mph). Audi says that the A1 Quattro will be launched in the second half of 2012 and its production will be limited to 333 units. Starting prices will be set at 29.000 euros.
