Audi has recently announced the launch of the A1 TFSI 3-cylinder in the United Kingdom, where the model in question starts at 14,315 GBP.
One of the coolest little cars money can buy these days is the Audi A1 and this is also one of the most environmentally friendly ones as it is emitting just 97 g/km of CO2. The German based automaker has announced the launch of a 3-cylinder TFSI petrol version of the model which is already available for order across the United Kingdom.
According to the car manufacturer, the model in question has a 1.0 liter TFSI three-cylinder engine under its hood. The unit is capable of producing a total of 93 HP (68 kW) and it has a peak torque of 160 Nm (118 lb-ft). The unit is connected to either a five-speed manual or to a 7-speed automatic S tronic transmission. This is allowing the model to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.9 seconds, while returning the equivalent of 4.2L / 100km of fuel (67.3 mpg).
Audi says that the A1 TFSI can be ordered with the SE or the Sport specification and both options will be adding the air conditioning, the remote central locking, the electric front windows, AUX, 6.5-inch retractable display, 6-speaker audio system and more The Sport will add the Audi Music Interface, the SD card based navigation system, the sports suspension, sports seats, Driver’s Information System, Bluetooth and more. Prices for the A1 TFSI start at 14,315 GBP in the 3-door 5-speed manual in the SE and go to 16,290 GBP for the Sport variant. The S tronic transmission costs an extra 1,540 GBP.
