The Australian division of Audi has announced the introduction of the A3 Cabrio locally where the base version is now available for order from 47,300 AUD.
The Audi A3 Cabrio is available in Australia as the model in question has received updated technology, new engines and an entry price dropped, compared to its predecessor. It is also longer, wider and lower being based on the Sedan and, for the first time ever, it’s available with the Quattro all-wheel drive too. The base Attraction version has a 1.4 liter TFSI engine under its hood, rated at 103 kW and 250 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration takes 9.1 seconds and the average fuel consumption stands at 4.9L/100km.
Moving on to the A3 Cabrio Ambition, we find out that this is offered with the 1.8 liter TFSI petrol burner. It is a turbocharged four-cylinder unit, with 132 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.6 seconds and the fuel consumption stands at 6.6L/100km. The TDI Ambition comes in with a 2.0L diesel turbocharged unit, with 110 kW and 320 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h in 8.8 seconds and it burns 4.7L/100km. All versions can get the S Tronic transmission.
