The new generation of the Audi A3 has been recently gifted with the 2014 World Car of the Year award.
Audi has had a great year with a lot of new models and one of these has been recently awarded with the 2014 World Car of the Year title. We’re talking about the Audi A3, which has been selected by a panel of 69 automotive journalists over other vehicles.
“The Audi A6 was the first ever winner of this award and we are delighted that the Audi A3 has repeated that achievement by being voted 2014 World Car of the Year. The Audi A3 showcases Audi’s technical competence in all aspects of carmaking, not least in the areas of lightweight technology, drivetrain, mobile infotainment and driver assistance systems. This major award win is an achievement that the whole company can celebrate”, said Rupert Stadler, the Audi Chairman.
The Audi A3 has been selected by the automotive journalists over models like the BMW 4-Series or the Mazda3. In other segments, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class has managed to beat the Bentley Flying Spur and the Range Rover Sport to become the 2014 World Luxury Car, the BMW i3 has won the World Green Car and World Car Design of the Year awards and the Porsche 911 GT3 was titled with the World Performance Car category.
