The German based automaker Audi has recently announced its plans to introduce the diesel engine lineup for the A4 in the United States later on this year.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2014 Audi A4 TDI will arrive in the United States later on this year. The announcement has been made by the Audi of America President Scott Keogh, who has recently spoken with Automotive News.
“This deep in its life cycle, it didn’t make any sense to do all that dramatic re-engineering and re-architecting of the car to basically only have a two-year selling period”, as Scott Keogh told our source during a phone call.
The company’s official confirmed the fact that the 2014 Audi A4 will be offered with a 2.0 liter TDI diesel engine. According to Keogh, the unit will produce a total output of 184 HP (135 kW) and it will have a peak torque of 380 Nm (280 lb-ft). The 2014 Audi A4 TDI will become available to its future customers in the United States later on this year. Additional details on this model aimed towards the over-seas auto market remain unknown for the moment.
