Audi A5 Cabrio is on to a topless start image

The future generation of the Audi A5 Cabrio is ending up in our news once more, with the help of a new rendering.

The new generation of the Audi A4 is here, since earlier this year, and it is offering a new start for other vehicles in the company’s lineup. After we have seen how the A4 Allroad might look like, the A5 Cabrio is now grabbing our attention. The image posted above is nothing more than a simple rendering, signed by Theophilus Chin, and it is showing us a slightly updated version of the new A4. The only striking feature is its chopped off roof, which has transformed it into a better looking model but also a less practical one.

At this point, we have no clue on when the new Audi A5 will be officially unveiled, but chances are this might happen sometimes next year, with the coupe debuting first and being followed by the drop-top later on. Chances are this will be maintaining its folding soft roof but don’t act too surprised if Audi will decide to replace it with a hard-top either. Expect the same technologies, the same exterior lines and a slightly updated interior on the car once this will be ready for its future customers, along with the sport S-Line package and the S variant which will be acting as a range-topping version until the real RS will be here. Audi will probably pull the wraps off the car during a major automotive event in 2016, like Geneva, in spring, or Paris, in fall.
