A limited number of the Audi A5, called the DTM Selection, has been introduced in the carmaker’s homeland.
The new model is packed with a bunch of extra features and it is bringing the Misano Red paint, combined with the glossy black look. This is also adding the 20-inch Audi sport alloy wheels, with the five double-spoke design, which have been wrapped in 265/30 tires. The new Audi A5 DTM Selection is also adding the DTM logo, projected onto the road through its doors (open), along with the special door sill trims, the RS5 borrowed bucket seats, red stitching on the seats, on the leather wrapped steering wheel, alloy pedals, tinted rear windows and several other goodies.
The most important part of the car is found obviously under its hood. Here we can notice the 3.0 liter TDI diesel burner, with its six cylinders, capable of putting down a total of 245 HP (180 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the vehicle needs just 5.9 seconds and it can reach a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph), which is electronically limited. Power is being sent to the Quattro permanent all-wheel drive system through a 7-speed S tronic transmission. The high-performance diesel coupe is eating approximately 6.3 liters of fuel every 100 km, or 44.8 mpg UK / 37.3 mpg US, while emitting 162 g/km of CO2. Only 50 units of the car will be made and each one will cost 74,540 euros.
