German tuner MTM has just developed a new upgrade program for the Audi A6 3.0 BiTDI, which is now developing a total output of 381 horsepower.
According to the German aftermarket specialists at MTM, the Audi A6 3.0 BiTDI in question has received a power boost thanks to an ECU remapping and the standard 3.0 diesel unit is now producing a total output of 381 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 575 lb-ft (780 Nm), compared to the standard 313 HP. MTM says that the power boost for the eight-cylinder diesel engine has been priced at 1,000 euros and for 900 euros the unit can generate 365 HP and 560 lb-ft of torque (760 Nm).
“The Audi A6 is the ideal base for the MTM-engineers and technicians for an intervention in the electronic engine management. The result of this high-tech operation is very interesting. 381 hp and a torque of 780 Nm are data that satisfy even the highest claims. This brings in fact the throne of the eight-cylinder diesel engine to jiggle”, as the tuner is saying in its official press release.
The Audi A6 BiTDI can also be fitted with 380×34 mm granulated brake discs with eight-piston calipers for an extra 4,900 euros and for 6,400 euros more the vehicle can get the beefier 405×36 mm discs which go with rims in size of at least 20-inch. The F-Cantronic ECU for the air suspension, priced at 1,740 euros, can lower or elevate the vehicle by up to 25 mm in the front end and by up to 20 mm in the rear.
