Audi has recently announced the launch of the A6 Hybrid in Malaysia, where the model is available to its future customers from RM280,000, on the road without insurance.
The Audi A6 Hybrid can be easily differentiated from the sedan thanks to its hybrid badges, to the Arctic Silver body color or to the 18-inch turbine design wheels, wrapped in 245/45 tires, which are all Hybrid-exclusive goodies. The model is receiving regenerative braking system, start/stop system and a lithium-ion battery which is reducing weight by 40 percent compared to the nickel-metal ones. The boot volume is down to 375 liters from 530 liters because the battery has been fitted under the trunk floor.
Power to the Audi A6 Hybrid is being provided by a 2.0 liter TFSI with 211 HP and 350 Nm and by an electric motor, generating 54 HP and 211 Nm of torque. The total output produced stands at 245 HP and 480 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is over in 7.5 seconds and top speed stands at 240 km/h. Average fuel consumption is 6.2 liters / 100 km and the model is emitting 145 g/km of CO2.
