The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron might make its way to the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
After the German based automaker Audi has announced that the R8 e-tron will be delayed from production, chances are that we will see a brand new e-tron model on the roads soon, in the shape of the A6 Sportback. The Audi A6 Sportback e-tron is expected to be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and the model will probably mark a new variant of the regular A6, which is the Sportback, after the Sedan and the Avant, which are already available.
Rumors are saying that the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron concept will get the 2.0 liter turbocharged engine, borrowed from the brand new 2013 S3, which will produce 300 HP (221 kW), helped on the way by an electric motor, generating an extra 100 HP (73 kW). The model in question will provide an electric driving range of up to 100 km (62 miles) and the standard fuel consumption should stand under 2.5 liters every 100 km. The model will be able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just over 4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
