Audi is celebrating the 21st anniversary since the A8 has been launched with the introduction of this special edition of the flagship model.
The so-called Audi A8 Edition 21 Anniversary is being offered in a limited-run in the United Kingdom. The model has been based on the SE Executive trim and it is bringing both standard and long wheelbase guises, with a more posh cabin signed by Audi Exclusive. The goodies list includes the 22-way adjustability and memory function for the front sport seats, a 3-spoke steering wheel, illuminated door sill plates with “Edition 21” logo, HDD-based sat-nav, Bose sound system, rearview camera, electrically-operated trunk lid and so on.
The exterior design of the car has received updated front and rear bumpers, privacy glass, matrix LED headlights, full LED taillights, 20-inch double-spoke alloy wheels and a choice of four exterior colors, including the Daytona grey pearl effect, seen here. Under its hood, we can find the 3.0 liter TDI V6 engine, rated at 262 HP (193 kW) and 580 Nm (428 lb-ft) of torque. This is sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed tiptronic transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), this needs 5.9 seconds in the standard and 6.1 seconds in the LWB. Top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph) in both versions. Prices for the small wheelbase start from 72,525 GBP and the long wheelbase model is available from 76,490 GBP. Deliveries will begin in November.
