Audi has officially pulled the wraps off the new A8 Sport in the United Kingdom and the first details on the model have been released.
The brand new Audi A8 Sport has been officially unveiled in the United Kingdom. The model in question has been designed to replace the previous A8 Sport Executive and it has been based on the short wheelbase A8. It is coming with features such as the Matrix Beam LED headlights, some tweaks borrowed from the S8 flagship, some sporty side skirts and the 19-inch alloy wheels, contributing to its looks.
“Sport models are now more distinctly marked out visually by a new dynamic exterior package featuring front and rear treatments reminiscent of the flagship S8, combined with pronounced ‘S’ style side skirts and 19-inch alloy wheels in a seven-parallel spoke design”, said the carmaker in its official press release.
The Audi A8 Sport has the 600-watt audio system in the cabin signed by Bose, GPS navigation and the Valcona leather upholstery. Audi says that under its hood, the new A8 Sport is coming with two TDI diesel engines, the 3.0 liter V6, rated at 262 HP (192 kW), along with the larger 4.2 liter V8, producing 385 HP (282 kW) and 850 Nm (626 lb-ft) of torque. In the latter, the model needs just 4.7 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and the average fuel consumption stands at 7.2L / 100km (39.2 mpg UK / 32.6 mpg US). No pricing details have been announced at this time.
