Audi has recently announced the first details on the U.S. versions of the A8 and S8 luxury cars for the 2015 model year.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2015 Audi A8 will be easily recognizable thanks to its new light designs, to the new front grille and the reshaped rear end. The Audi S8 will be getting a sport exhaust system which should provide a better sound in the cabin, along with a set of 20-inch wheels, available for the regular A8 too. The Matrix LED headlight technology will be put aside because of the local regulations but the lights in the front and in the rear will still get LEDs as standard.
The night vision system in the luxury vehicles has been updated and it now has pedestrian and animal detection too. One of the most important safety feature is the Active Lane Keep Assist, which will become available for the models, along with the secondary collision assist, the head-up display and others. There will also be a new park assist feature which should help the A8 steer into a parking spot. Engine lineup remains unchanged and it will include the 435 HP 4.0L V8 and the 520 HP on the S8. The base model will be offered with a 3.0L V6, producing 333 HP, while the 3.0L turbo diesel will come with 240 HP. The W12 flagship will be good for 500 HP.
