The German based automaker Audi has recently confirmed plans to introduce an SQ7 version of the updated Q7 over the next couple of years.
Audi is playing hard to get in order to keep track with the main competitors of the Q7, the BMW X5 and the Mercedes-Benz ML and it is now planning to introduce an SQ7 version of the popular SUV. The model in question has been recently confirmed by Ulrich Hackenberg, the Audi board member for technical development, who has recently spoken to the guys from Autocar.
“The new Q7 will be available in the market next year but the electric turbo will come a bit later in the Audi SQ7 available in 2016”, said the company’s official to the source mentioned above.
The brand new Audi SQ7 will be part of the next generation of the Q7 and it will be the second diesel powered “S” model in the company’s lineup, after the smaller SQ5. We are not sure at the moment what engine the 2017 Audi SQ7 will be using, once it will be introduced, but the wait is a long one considering the fact that the model in question is said to be introduced sometimes in 2016.
