The smallest crossover coming out of Ingolstadt has been tweaked to make an impact when it first arrives at dealerships, with the Edition 1 special edition packing amenities such as 19 inch alloys.
Audi is following in the footsteps of Mercedes-Benz – which is a regular of such limited series – and introduces the Edition 1 Q2 crossover. The Mercedes special editions are good for just 12 months of the production run, but Audi didn’t reveal for how long the Edition 1 Q2 is available – though people might find it interesting enough thanks to the design tweaks and an expansive list of standard features. The smallish crossover has 19-inch wheels with the known five-arm rotor design taken from the pages of the high performance versions. All Edition 1 Q2s will have standard LED headlights and taillights, with the latter also packing the dynamic turn signals. It also comes equipped with the S line exterior package adding sporty bumpers and side sills, as well as a rear diffuser and black side mirror caps. There’s an exclusive quantum gray paint finish and some of the parts are trimmed in Manhattan gray.
No interior shots have been revealed yet, but Audi confessed it will have height-adjustable sport seats adorned in black and amaretto leather. There’s also a multifunction steering wheel dressed in leather as standard, illuminated aluminum door sills with the ‘S’ logo and an ambient lighting package with LEDs. Audi said order books for the Q2 Edition #1 will be opened early next month and this limited series is available alongside every powertrain of the standard Q2.
