Audi of America has recently confirmed the local introduction for the RS3 Sedan and the Q8 as the two models are expected to be launched in the near future.
Audi has put a stop to rumors and has announced that the RS3 will be offered as a sedan in the United States and this will be followed by the Q8, which will basically be a rival for the BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. The announcement has been made by Scott Keogh, the Audi of America CEO, who has recently spoken to Automotive News. According to our source, the RS3 will be offered in a sedan body style and it should become quite a hit on its new market.
Besides the RS3, Keogh has also spoken about the new Q8. This will be a sporty SUV, a rival for the BMW X6 and for the Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe, and it should land stateside. Keogh declined to discuss timing for when the SUV should arrive in the United States but chances are this will happen in 2017, after it will become available for order in Europe. In other related news, Audi is also planning to develop a Q1 crossover. This will slot beneath the current compact Q3 and it will be a sub-compact crossover, taking aim at vehicles such as the Nissan Juke, Peugeot 2008, Opel Mokka, Renault Captur and so on. This has been confirmed by the Audi AG CEO, Rupert Stadler.
