A new entry-level crossover will be produced by Audi in the near future and this will be hitting the market as the Q Junior.
Audi has plans of introducing an even smaller Q-badged crossover besides the Q1, which will be introduced next year and it was originally known as the Q2. The new model is expected to be called the Q Junior, a name which hasn’t been confirmed at this point year, and it is believed to be riding on the next generation of the A1’s platform, which will be using the MQB-A0 platform. This isn’t actually the first time when such a model is said to hit the market and chances are that this will be introduced in a 2-door coupe crossover body style.
The looks of the new Audi Q Junior will be similar to the ones of other small crossovers signed by the company and this should be carrying a starting price of less than 20,000 euros. Expect an engine range which will include 3- and 4-cylinder gasoline and diesel turbocharged units under its hood, along with the S tronic transmission. The Quattro all-wheel drive should also become available for this model but as an option. The new Audi Q Junior is believed to be introduced sometimes in 2019, probably as a 2020 model year. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment and chances are that these will be made public once the crossover will be ready.
