Audi has released the first design sketches with the upcoming Q4 crossover, which will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, this month.
Audi is planning to introduce a new crossover, the Q4, a future competitor for models such as the BMW X4 or the Range Rover Evoque. The model in question has been hinted for quite some time and it seems that Audi has taken a step forward and started the development for the crossover, which is now previewed with these official design sketches. The images posted above are showing the curved roof of the model, which is already a pattern for vehicles in this class.
The new Audi Q4 is also getting prominent wheel arches, to host the large alloy wheels, two round exhaust pipes, the “quattro” lettering, individual seats in the cabin and a large cargo area which can be extended by folding the rear seats. These design sketches are previewing the five-door concept which will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Beijing Motor Show, later on this month. More details on the model are limited for the moment but an unveil is expected ahead of the Chinese automotive event.
