Audi Prologue Allroad Concept going to Shanghai image

The Audi Prologue Allroad Concept is said to be introduced at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show, in a couple of weeks.

What was initially believed to become the new A9 flagship will get a new version at the 2015 Shanghai Auto Show. We’re talking about the Audi Prologue which will be receiving the Allroad variant at the Chinese automotive event. The announcement hasn’t been made official at this time but according to a recent report, signed by Autocar, the model in question will be offering a preview of the next generation Audi A6 Allroad. The model is expected to get the beefier front and rear bumpers, the increased ride height and the extended wheel arches, amongst others, which should be enough to put some distance between it and the “regular” Prologue.

The Audi Prologue Concept has been introduced back in 2014. The model is getting a familiar design and it has the Matrix laser headlights, the wide fenders, the sculpted hood, aggressive air vents, 3D taillights and it is riding on large 22-inch alloy wheels. Inside it, we can find the several touch screens, the high-tech rear seats, the automatically adjustable driver’s seat, a digital instrument cluster, a climate control system and so on. Power to the concept car was being provided by a 4.0 liter TFSI V8 engine, rated at no less than 605 HP (445 kW) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. The unit was connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission, sending power to the all-wheel drive system. Thanks to this layout, the model needed 3.7s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill.
