The German based automaker Audi has recently announced its plans to introduce the Q1 entry-level crossover, which will go into production in 2016.
Audi has put a stop to all rumors regarding the upcoming Q1 by officially confirming the new entry-level crossover for production. According to the car manufacturer, the model in question will hit the assembly line in 2016 and it will be an attractive crossover which will be produced in Ingolstadt, Germany. The new Audi Q1 should get a five-door body style, with some angular styling and some plastic body cladding, some distinctive headlights, a prominent grille, muscular fenders and more.
We have no other official details on the Audi Q1 for the moment but the original reports were saying that power will be provided by a 1.4 liter TFSI, by a 1.4 liter TDI and by a 231 HP (170 kW) in the top of the line SQ1. A hybrid version is believed to use a 1.2 liter petrol engine, with 109 HP (80 kW), backed up by an electric motor, but this hasn’t been confirmed yet. Additional details on the upcoming Audi Q1 are limited for the moment and will be announced, probably, close to its debut.
