The German based automaker Audi is planning to reveal its Q2 crossover, in a concept form, during the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September.
There is no official word from the company on this subject just yet but rumors are saying that the Audi Q2 will be officially presented to the public, in concept form, this year during the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September. The Audi A1-based crossover is expected to come with a radical style and with influences from the Quattro concept car, and a final production version of the vehicle might hit the market sooner than expected, in 2013, priced around 25,000 euros on the Old Continent.
The Audi Q2 will be closer in design to the A1 than to the A3 and its off-road capabilities will be limited because the model will be offered mainly in front-wheel drive, but upper versions will also be available with the company’s Quattro all-wheel drive technology. The Audi Q2 will be developed on the new MQB platform, the same one used on the new generation of the Audi A3, the same one which will underpin the next generation of the VW Golf too. The Audi Q2 will go against the Nissan Juke, the Opel Mokka, the Peugeot 2008 and the Ford EcoSport, and the model will be offered with four seats.
