The German aftermarket specialists at MTM have recently previewed their latest creation for the Audi Q3, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
After going almost through every major automaker which will debut some model at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show this month, we ended up writing about tuners, for whom the Swiss event is just as important, becoming the new battleground in which aftermarket specialists like MTM are trying to attract more customers. The latest creation of MTM is an upgrade kit for the Audi Q3, and even if the small crossover isn’t quite on our taste, not even after it has been modified by the German tuner, this is apparently something big for the company, especially after the model will be presented in Geneva.
According to MTM, the Audi Q3 is coming with a lowered suspension, a rear diffuser and some 20-inch wheels, but the most significant changes are under its hood, where the 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine is developing 466 horsepower and 461 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0 liter TFSI unit has also been modified and this is now generating 306 horsepower, allowing the crossover to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 6.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph, thanks to the addition of a turbo kit and a sports exhaust system.
