The all-electric version of the upcoming Audi Q6 has been teased in the first official image with it released by the car manufacturer.
BMW has opened a new path with its X6, which is now in its second generation, and just recently Mercedes-Benz has introduced a direct rival for it, the GLE Coupe. Audi couldn’t stay away from this battle so the introduction of a Q6 was imminent. The model in question is now being teased in an official rendering which is actually giving us a glimpse in the all-electric version of the SAV, which will be introduced in the near future.
Rumor has it that the vehicle will be using a system similar to the one found on the R8 e-tron, along with a 100 kWh battery pack and the MLB platform, underpinning the Q7, underneath it. The total range of the model will stand at 293 km (185 miles), on a single charge, and in terms of design, rumor has it that this will be influenced by the Prologue Concept and also by the new generation of the Q7, standing out from a crowd thanks to its sloping roofline.
Keep in mind that the Audi Q7 e-tron has a 3.0 liter TDI six-cylinder engine under its hood, which is backed up by an electric motor, producing a total of 373 HP (275 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque. The hybrid can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.0s and a top speed of 225 km/h (139 mph). This has been officially presented to the public at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show and it will go on sale soon.
