The German based automaker Audi is planning to develop a new crossover which will be named the Q6 and it will hit the market in 2016.
Rumors on Audi developing a new crossover which will probably be named the Q6 have been around for more than a year but until now we didn’t have a launch date of the model. According to the guys at Automobil Produktion, the new crossover which will be signed by Audi will hit the market by 2016. Our source is saying that rather than being based on the new Q7 generation, the future Audi Q6 will be inspired by the future Q5.
The strange thing here is that the Audi Q6 will hit the market sooner than the next Audi Q5 generation, which is scheduled for 2017. The Audi Q6 will get a range of TFSI petrol engines under its hood, which will range between 117 and 225 HP, along with the 2.0 TDI diesel with 190 HP, the 3.0 TDI V6 with 272 HP and more. The official starting price of the Audi Q6 is expected to stand at approximately 39,000 euros, which will make it 3,000 euros more expensive than the Q5.
