German magazine Automobilwoche published a report according to which the redesigned Audi Q7, which is to debut in 2014 in Europe, will weigh around 800 pounds.
The report also says that the automaker plans the next Q7. The Audi Q7 SUV will be manufactured in Bratislava, Slovakia, exactly like its predecessor and on the same line as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg and it will be based on Volkwagen’s modular longitudinal platform. The redesigned Q7 is to hit the US market in 2015.
Audi added to the redesigned Q7 several details which increase its quality, which are also aimed at attracting more customers. The model features stylish and modern headlights and headlamps, the new grille give the vehicle an awesome and modern look and the aluminum body will considerably reduce its weight.
The model comes only in black for the exterior design, which makes the vehicle more elegant and stylish.
The Audi Q7 model has first hit the market in 2005 and then in 2009 it received a facelift. It was about time that Audi would upgrade the model to meet the customers’ expectations. The fact that the model weights around 800 pounds, also means that it offers higher fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions.
