Audi is planning to develop a production version of the newly revealed Quattro Concept, which might make its way onto the market sooner than expected.
After it was officially presented to the public just a few days ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in a world premiere, the brand new Audi Quattro Concept is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a rumor, which is saying that the model might hit the production line. This has been hinted by the company’s boss, Wolfgang Egger, who has recently spoken to the guys at Auto Express.
The Audi Quattro Concept is powered by a hybrid ensemble made out of a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 TFSI engine, producing 560 HP (412 kW) and 700 Nm of torque (516 lb-ft), backed up by an electric motor which is good for 150 HP (110 kW) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft). The total output produced stands at 700 HP (515 kW) And 800 Nm of torque (590 lb-ft). This is enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint of 3.7 seconds and a 305 km/h (190 mph) top speed. The average fuel consumption stands at 2.5 L / 100 km (113 mpg UK / 94 mpg US).
