The German based automaker Audi has recently released the first teaser images with the brand new Quattro Concept, ahead of its public debut scheduled for the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
With the main rivals at BMW officially pulling the wraps off the i8 hybrid sports car just a few weeks ago, Audi couldn’t stay aside from the “personal” battle and it’s planning to develop its very own hybrid electric sports car to compete with the new i8. The model in question is believed to be previewed by the brand new Quattro Concept, which will be officially presented to the public, in a world premiere, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, on the 10th of September.
Audi has already released the first teaser images with the brand new Quattro, but unfortunately they only represent sketches of a concept car, so the final production version may come in late 2014 or even in 2015. The model in question is believed to ride on the same platform as the A6 and to get a twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, producing 600 HP, backed up by an electric motor. The total output should stand at 700 HP. Additional details on the brand new Audi Quattro Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced during the German automotive event.
