The German based automaker Audi is planning to develop a new crossover based on the Quattro Concept, which might be named the Q2.
After a rumor has appeared last week which was saying that the Quattro Concept won’t hit the production line, the model is entering our news once again, this time with another rumor announcing that the Quattro Concept will inspire a new crossover. The Audi Quattro Concept won’t hit the production line as a performance car because the carmaker thinks that the market is too stale at the moment. The upcoming Q2 will be based on the Quattro Concept and on the Crosslane Concept too, and the model will go against models like the Range Rover Evoque.
The Audi Crosslane Concept, which was officially presented to the public for the first time during the 2012 Paris Motor Show, is powered by a 1.5 liter TSI three-cylinder petrol engine, helped by two electric motors. The Audi Crosslane Cocnept can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds before reaching a top speed of 113 mph.
