Audi is planning to develop a direct successor of the iconic Quattro model which is expected to hit the market sometimes in 2015.
The German based automaker might keep its secret projects into the shadows for the moment but according to the guys at the car manufacturer will develop a direct successor of the iconic Quattro model, which will hit the market in 2015. According to the source mentioned above, the Audi Quattro will be made under the Q35 codename and it will slot between the TT and the R8.
The final production version of the Audi Quattro Q35 will most likely be a cross-over like coupe with four seats and two doors, along with a flat roof, short overhangs, LED lighting units, bulging fenders, an aggressive front fascia and large 20-inch alloy wheels. Power to the production version of the Audi Quattro successor is expected to be provided by a 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine, which should develop a total output of 375 horsepower (380 PS / 279 kW). The unit will be mated to an S tronic dual clutch transmission which will enable the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just over four seconds. 10,000 units annually of the Audi Q35 are expected to be produced starting with 2015.
