Racing One has recently pulled the wraps off its latest creation, an upgrade package for the Audi R8 V10 which is making the supercar even more powerful.
According to the German event organizer and sports service provider, Racing One, the upgrade package for the Audi R8 V10 is coming with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, a remapped ECU and some other minor engine tweaks, which are making the German supercar produce a total output of 602 BHP, compared to the standard 518 BHP. The Audi R8 has also been fitted with Performance Friction Brakes, Bilstein 2-way MDS dampers, semi-slick racing tires, 6-point seatbelts, racing seats and a fire estinguisher.
“Racing one, motor sports service provider and event organizer from Rhineland, has helped an Audi R8 V10 – the stock version is certainly not insufficiently motorized – gaining a total of about 610 horse powers through discreet changes in hardware as well as systematic adjustment of the engine mapping”, as Racing One is saying in its official press release.
The Audi R8 V10 in question will be used for track days and training events, so Racing One has fitted the supercar with a data logging system which is accessible via CAN bus for later analysis and two video cameras can also record all the driving action. Racing One is saying that the total modifications have increased the price of the R8 by 26,000 euros.
