Audi R8 GT hits Range Rover Evoque in South Africa

The driver of an Audi R8 GT has ran a red light and crashed into a Range Rover Evoque, in South Africa, destroying both vehicles.

We end the week with a new addition to the Car Crashes category which is bringing us a limited edition of the Audi R8, the R8 GT, which will definitely need a complete makeover in order to return to its former glory, but chances are it will end up in the scrap yard. According to Wrecked Exotics, the German supercar in question has ran a red light and crashed into a Range Rover Evoque.

The driver of the Audi R8 GT has fled the scene and the driver of the crossover was taken to hospital, with non life threatening injuries. The incident happened in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a quick reminder, the Audi R8 GT is basically a limited production of the model which has been created in just 333 units. The weight of the impressive ride has been dropped by approximately 100 kg or 220 lb and its power now stands at 560 HP. The 0 to 100 km/h acceleration (62 mph) is made in just 3.6 seconds and top speed stands at 320 km/h (199 mph).
