A new incident involving an exotic ride is coming all the way from India where this red finished Audi R8 will need a makeover before returning to its former glory.
This seems to be Audi R8 day here on inautonews.com because after we have reported that the second generation of the supercar this March, and that the model will receive the same V10 engine as the Huracan, time has come to talk about the current version, in a specific unit, which has been involved in a crash recently, in Mumbai, India.
According to Wrecked Exotics, the crash involved a BMW, an Audi A4, the Audi R8 and a Hyundai i10. Our source is stating that the owner of the city cruiser was driving aggressively and he tried to race everyone. When the other vehicles stopped, he couldn’t brake and hit the A4, which hit the BMW on the left side and the R8 in the front. Happily no one was injured in the incident, except probably for the i10 driver’s ego.
The current version of the Audi R8, which is in its first generation, is in production since 2007, introduced first at the Paris Motor Show in 2006 and being put together in Neckarsulm, Germany. The model is offered in two body styles, coupe and roadster, both of them with the same mid-engine and Quattro all-wheel drive. The engine lineup includes the 4.2 liter V8 and the 5.2 liter V10, connected to a 6-speed or 7-speed manual or to a 6-speed or 7-speeed automatic.
