The first renderings with the Audi RS3 Cabrio have recently hit the web and they might be offering us a glimpse into a future version of the model.
The German based automaker Audi is known to have started testing out the new RS3, but the images posted below are revealing the convertible version of the top of the line model. Despite looking quite appealing, the car manufacturer has no current plans of putting such a vehicle into production, at the moment. The photos in question represent renderings and they have been signed by Theophilus Chin.
The new Audi RS3, which is currently being in development, will tackled models such as the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG or the BMW M135i. The vehicle will be significantly updated compared to the S3 and the company will focus more on handling and keeping its weight down than on a lot of power. We expect some chassis modifications, retuned brakes and suspension system and the use of carbon fiber. Rumors are saying that the RS3 will keep its 2.5 liter five-cylinder turbocharged unit, but power may stand at more than 340 HP and it may even go up to 400 HP. More details on the model are limited for the moment.
