Audi RS3 caught testing image

Our spy photographers have managed to capture the new Audi RS3 on camera, while it was being tested outside the Nurburgring.

Reports on the development of a high-end version of the new Audi A3 generation have been around for quite some time now and it seems that the German based automaker wants to live up to its name, so the hottest version of the premium hatchback is getting ready to go official. The images posted below have been provided by our spy photographers who have managed to capture the new Audi RS3 on camera, but keep in mind that this is a simple prototype, so the final production version may look quite different.

The new Audi RS3 will tackle models like the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG and the BMW M135i but the company’s engineers will focus more on handling and keeping its weight down than on a lot of power, so expect some chassis modifications, some retuned suspension system and brakes and some carbon fiber addition, things which will “help” its price reach the sealing. The current 2.5 liter five-cylinder turbocharged unit may be kept but its power will be a bit more than the current 340 HP. More details on the RS3 are limited for the moment and will probably be announced later on this year.
