The guys from a four-door sedan and a five-door estate. According to our source, who is quoting Ulrich Hackenberg, the Audi Technical Development boss, the model in question will be losing the 4.2 liter V8 naturally aspirated engine in order to make room for a 3.0 liter V6 turbocharged gasoline burner, with an e-turbo technology.
This means that the C63 AMG made by Mercedes-Benz is the only one offered with a 4.0 liter engine under its hood, as the M3 has a 3.0 liter engine too. We are not sure at this point how much the new 3.0 liter V6 engine will be producing but the whole car will be a lot quicker than its predecessor, so expect more than 450 HP and a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration time made in less than 4.7 seconds. Top speed will most likely be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but the limiter will be able to go up to 280 km/h (174 mph) or even more. Rumor has it that the S4 will be shown in September, during the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, while the RS4 will be unveiled next year.
