The German based automaker Audi might officially pull the wraps off the brand new S1 in a couple of months, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The newest creation signed by Audi is the upcoming S1, which is believed to be officially unveiled during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet, but according to the guys at Auto Express, the model in question is said to go on sale right after the Swiss automotive event. Its base price is believed to rival the one of the VW Golf GTI, as the report is saying.
The brand new Audi S1 should take its power from a 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 230 HP (169 kW). The unit should be mated to an S tronic transmission, which will send its power to the Quattro all-wheel drive system. The three-door or five-door hatchback is also expected to get an aggressive body kit, with a new front bumper, a new rear bumper, different side skirts, a tailgate mounted spoiler and much more. A four-tailpipe exhaust system is also in the books. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
