Audi has recently announced the launch of the new S3 Cabrio in Australia where the model should arrive by the end of 2014.
The brand new Audi S3 Cabrio will be powered by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, the same one used on the S3, S3 Sportback, S3 Sedan and also on the new VW Golf R. The new Audi S3 Cabrio’s unit will produce a total output of 221 kW and it will have a peak torque of 380 Nm. This will be enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 5.4 seconds. The unit will be mated to an S tronic dual clutch transmission.
The average fuel consumption in the brand new Audi S3 Cabrio stands at 7.1 liters / 100 km, which is matching the one of the Golf R, S3 Sportback and S3 Sedan. The Audi S3 Cabrio will sit 25 mm lower than the A3 Convertible and it will get 18-inch standard alloy wheels, with 19-inch rims available as an option. The Audi magnetic ride control will also be offered as an option for the model. Additional details on the model, including its price list for Australia, will be announced close to its launch.
