Some new images with the Audi S3 Cabrio have made their way onto the web recently and they might provide us with a first look into the final production model.
The German based automaker Audi is already working on a convertible version of the brand new Audi S3, and the model has already been spied, but no one outside the company really knew what the drop top might look like, until now, when new renderings have ended up on the internet. The model pictured below is based on the convertible version of the Audi A3 and it has borrowed some styling elements from the new S3 Sedan.
The Audi S3 Cabrio is expected to be powered by the same engine as the S3 Sedan, once it will hit the market, and this means that the 2.0 liter TFSI unit will make its way under the hood of the drop top, with its 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). The Audi S3 Sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph) Additional details on the S3 Cabrio are limited for the moment.
