Audi has officially pulled the wraps off its latest creation, the S3 Cabrio, which will be making its public debut during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in a couple of weeks.
Audi has recently applied the S treatment to the A3 Cabrio and the result was what you can see in the images posted below. The model in question is now joining the three-door S3, the five-door S3 and the S3 Sedan, in the company’s lineup, and it now sits 25 mm lower than the regular version. Audi has fitted the new S3 Cabrio with the chromed windscreen surround, with the deeper bumpers, with the aluminum like mirror housings and others.
The S3 Cabrio can also be distinguished by its 18-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in 225/40 tires, which can be transformed, optionally, into 19-inch rims. The wheels are covering the 340 mm brake discs with black calipers on the front axle and speaking of colors, you should know that the vehicle is available in 12 shades. The cabin of the car can be ordered with various types of Fine Nappa leather, Alcantara or Pearl Nappa leather, with contrast stitching.
The most important part of the new Audi S3 Cabrio is found under its hood, where the 2.0 liter TFSI four-cylinder turbocharged engine can be found. The unit is producing a total output of 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque. This is being sent to the Quattro all-wheel drive system through a 6-speed S tronic transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in 5.4 seconds and top speed has been electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph). The S3 Cabrio will be priced from 48,500 euros in Germany, once it will be hitting the dealerships, this summer.
