New renderings with the Audi S3 Cabrio have recently hit the web and they might provide a first look into the final production model.
The fact that Audi is currently working on a drop-top version of the Audi S3 isn’t a surprise anymore but the fact is that no one outside the company knows what the model will look like. But that doesn’t mean that this can’t be envisioned and this is what theophiluschin.com has done with the images posted below. The model has been based on the drop-top version of the A3 and it has borrowed some elements from the newly unveiled S3 Sedan.
Once it will hit the market, the Audi S3 Cabrio is expected to be powered by the same engine as the the 2.0 liter TFSI unit, which is producing a total output of 300 HP (221 kW) and 380 Nm of torque (280 lb-ft). In the solid roof version, the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is done in 5.3 seconds and top speed stands at 250 km/h (155 mph). Additional details on the Audi S3 Cabrio remain unknown for the moment and will probably be announced over the following months.
