Audi will launch the brand new S3 Sportback in Australia by the end of this year, where the model will be priced from 59, 900 AUD.

According to the local automotive media, the new Audi S3 Sportback will set you back for at least 59,900 AUD, depending on what goodies you want, and this is actually 11,000 AUD cheaper than the model it’s replacing. Audi’s model manages to undercut its main premium hot hatch rivals, where the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG will cost 74,900 AUD, and the BMW M135i will set you back for 64,900 AUD. It’s true that the Audi S3 Sportback is the least powerful from the three models.

Power to the Audi S3 Sportback is being provided by a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, which is producing a total output of 206 kW and it has a peak torque of 380 Nm. The unit is mated to a six-speed S-tronic dual clutch automatic transmission, which is sending power to the Quattro all-wheel drive. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint is done in just 5.0 seconds and the average fuel consumption has been rated at 6.9 L / 100 km. Top speed stands at 250 km/h.
