MTM has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the Audi S8 Talladega, which will be offered in a limited edition.
Audi is not producing an RS8 version of its current flagship sedan but this Audi S8 Talladega, which has been signed by MTM, is the closest thing to a true RS8. The tuning company is celebrating the average 332 km/h speed of Bobby Unser, behind the wheel of an Audi 5000 CS Turbo, on the Talladega Speedway, in Alabama, with a top speed of 350 km/h (219 mph).
The Audi S8 Talladega by MTM has a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood which is now capable of producing a whopping 760 HP (559 kW) and 945 Nm (697 lb-ft) of torque. This is significantly more than what the standard one has to offer, 520 HP (320 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. Thanks to these changes, the vehicle can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.5 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h (124 mph) in 10.5 seconds. Top speed has been electronically limited to 325 km/h (202 mph) to protect the tires. Prices for the Audi S8 Talladega start at 189,708 euros.
