The German based automaker Audi has officially pulled the wraps off its newest creation, the new TT race car, which will run in the racing series called the Audi Sport TT Cup.
According to the car manufacturer, the new racing series will be launched in 2015 and 24 cars will lineup for start, while 6 will be reserved for rotating guest drivers. The brand new Audi TT race car has received an aerodynamic body kit, which includes the extended fender flares, the massive rear wing, the carbon fiber front splitter and several other tweaks.
The racer is also getting the center mounted single exhaust system, Matrix LED headlights, a stripped out interior design, a digital instrument cluster, a multi-function steering wheel, a roll cage and several other tweaks. Power to the racing car is being provided by a 2.0 liter four-cylinder TFSI engine, which is rated at 310 HP (228 kW) and more than 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. The unit will be connected to a six-speed S tronic transmission. More details on the Audi TT race car are limited for the moment and will probably be announced before the new racing event will start.
