Audi is planning on making a three-story building in Germany’s Frankfurt in close relation to the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show that will take place on the 17th of September.
As it will be built on the Agora square of the auto exhibition grounds, the place will house 33 different models from the German brand, which include the redesigned A4 and the all new e-tron quattro Concept. The complex that will be of temporary nature is going to have a length of 700 square meters of “LED surfaces” and more than 124.3 miles of cabling.
Audi did not give too many details on the new opening, but their display will focus on four main areas: Audi Sport, quattro, Audi Technologies and Audi ultra. Part of Audi’s original display will also be a “quattro ice room” which will be kept at -21° Celsius.
At the show, Audi is going to display a technology area with a holographic window that makes use of augmented reality to broadcast digital information about the technologies used on the vehicles available on display.
Volkswagen AG’s luxury marquee Audi, the second largest premium automaker in the world, has recently introduced special areas in certain showrooms across the globe for clients opting for the R8 supercar and high performance RS variants.
It seems like the China’s economic downturn, which affected Audi – the top-selling premium brand in China by making it cut its Changhun plant production by 4% in the first half of this year, has not prevented the carmaker from producing original products such as this one.
