The ongoing Geneva Motor Show is as much glamour as it is show and just like on the fahsionistas catwalk the models exposed are all “retouched” here and there.
So, after we saw the latest SUV representative from Ingolstadt in a world premiere during the Swiss event, it’s about time we see it in the metal in real life conditions – with the pictures here snatched on the streets of Copenhagen, Denmark. Audi’s latest crossover is also the smallest and we got it here depicted in the more upscale S line version. The Q2 is a slight departure from the lines imposed by its bigger brothers, with some significant differences in terms of styling. Of course the modified design for sure sparked some controversy among the biggest fans, but we were for long waiting for that model that would break away from the current lines that seem crafted on a copying machine.
Meanwhile the interior will have exactly the same traits as seen in any of the Ingolstadt’s models, as the fresh exterior appearance has been ditched once the designers reached the cabin. Fortunately the more upscale versions at least get the new all-digital instrument cluster which should also reach the facelifted A3 range. The Q2 will boast six different powertrain options, with the base being the turbocharged 1.0-liter three-cylinder gasoline with 116 horsepower (85 kilowatts) and at the other and of the line sitting 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 190 hp (140 kW. In between sit the 1.4 TFSI and the very popular and ubiquitous 1.6 TDI and 2.0 TDI turbodiesels.
